When I clicked on the link, it takes me to a search function for "buy fioricet". This smells of SPAM.

John,

Provost is busier than a one handed ......well, nevermind about that.

We recently went through a software upgrade, part of which was to enable the Provost to approve memberships with a bit more speed, by adding some steps that the spambots cannot read.

At the same time, there was a mind-boggling backlog of membership approvals waiting to be sifted through.

Thus, some little nasty may have slipped through the cracks.

Use the alert button in your pm to send a notice directly to the Provost--he does not actually read the forums on a regular basis.

You'd be surprised where I show up though... :)

The tip off there is "guest posts". Any admin on these forums is going to be showing as a member, not a guest. Delete the PM on sight if you see that kind of screwy stuff.

If I limit PMs to members only it eliminates this problem, but then it causes problems with new users trying to contact me when they have problems signing up. :(
