WHO: The Civil War Living History Organization "Keeping History Alive” and the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

WHAT: are hosting the Fourth Annual Battle of Mace's Hole.

WHERE: The reenactment will be at the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park located approximately 45 miles west of Pueblo, Colorado on US Highway 50 West. The Royal Gorge Bridge is the world's highest suspension bridge.

WHEN: June 27-28, 2009. Royal Gorge Bridge and Park gates open at 8 AM. There will be battles on Saturday and Sunday. Preliminary schedule:

Friday: Camp set up.
Saturday: Day battle across the bridge.
Night battle.
Sunday: Day battle across bridge and fight in town.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Reenactors traveling over 100 miles will have one half of their fuel expenses reimbursed.

I saw this somewhere else and thought it would be of some interest to those who live in or near Colorado!

I'm interested in the part where reenactors traveling over 100 miles will have half their fuel reimbursed. You want me to stop and pick you up Joey? I figure we could make it in about three days. Wonder what they'd think when we drop that box of fuel receipts on them come reimbursement time?
