I'm selling a deep purple taffeta evening/ball gown made by Joy Melcher of the Civil War Lady. I bought it new about 6 years ago and have worn it gently twice.
The bodice has deep points at the center front and back. There is piping along the waist and in the armyse. There are short double-puffed sleeves. Bodice is lined with white polished cotton and steel boned. Back laces shut with 20 sets of eyelet. The skirt is set on its one waistband which is attached to the bodice at the front. It closes with hooks and thread bars. There is turn over at the top, and the skirt is directional or knife pleated. The hem has a polished cotton facing.
Measures:Waist- 28" Bust- 36" Waist to hem- 42" (plus 2 1/4" that I took up because it was too long)

Asking 200.00, it originally cost 350. The fabric alone is worth almost this price. Please email me at MoxieGrl1944@aol.com for pictures or further information.
