This is an unworn blue and white spoon bonnet.
I bought it for Shaker Village and since I'm not going I really don't need it.
Here is the stats from his website:
This cream-colored silk bonnet is made in the spoon shape that was popular throughout the Civil War era. It's decorated with blue silk taffeta, blue marabou feathers and paper flowers, and has a custom-made buckram and wire foundation.
Measurements: Sized for average to large adult. Dimensions: width across front opening 9", depth front to back as measured along top 9 1/2", depth front to back measured along bottom 6 1/2", circumference around brim 27-1/2".
Fabric and Construction: 100% silk on a cotton buckram and wire frame, with matching silk ties. The silk is cream colored, with heavy cording in a square pattern. Lining is cream-colored cotton in the bonnet; the curtain is unlined. Trim consists of bright blue 100% silk taffeta, blue marabou feathers, and white paper daisies with yellow centers, on wire stems. The bonnet is sewn with 100% cotton thread, with both hand and treadle-machine sewing.
Care: Avoid getting the bonnet wet, as the buckram can lose its shape if dampened.
Since it is unworn the price is
$79.00 plus $10.00 shipping
Thank you,
Crystal
