Thanks for the help.

L.D. Haning for the box and sling....and Nick Duvall carries the belt and bayonet scabbard and frog. Jarnigan also carries the Enfield stuff, but cant testify to the quality.. I do know that I had a McGee & George box from them and it was a great box.

Stay away from any box you see for under 50 bucks.... I foolishly bought one from Blockade runner that came apart at the seams the first time I used it.

I have to second on the L.D. Haning box and sling, I have one and just holding it will take you back in time! I hear Duvall's stuff is amazing also, never had one. I make my own snake belt, cap "pocket", and ball pouch.

Hanning and DuVall are AMAZING

I do, however think that Leighton Young makes GREAT leather gear (the full set, Box, sling, belt, cap box, bayonet frog) Cost around what the box and sling from Hanning do... and they are IMHO, of the same Quality.

My $0.02

If you are looking for the best, you cant go wrong with Nick Duvall's stuff. I can't speak for L.D. Hanning's stuff as I have not handled any of it, but I do know their reputation is very very good.

Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Cheaply priced leather goods are made from poor leather, machines stitched and finished very poorly. They may be serviceable for a time, but are not the best at anything.

I was wondering if you could help me out with some contact info. for Mr. Young. I can't seem to find out how to reach him or what his prices are like.

Thanx,

Hi

Don Smith at TMD makes a cap pocket/pouch (box) as well as two types of rifle sling and an import haversack.

Haversack Depot are now doing an inexpensive snake belt.

The guys at acwknapsacks.com make a Isaac Campbell and Co Knapsack

Just throwing a few names in the pot, not recommending any particular vendor.

Anything that comes out of LD Hanning is spot on and will not disappoint.
Jarnigans cartridge box appears to be spot on (comparing photographs), but I have my concerns about the cap box (again comparing photographs only).

when I decided to step up years ago being English I decided to go that route, Bill D. at Heritage got my bucks mainly because his
box appeared closer to actual specs to me. I did shop around and found his details superior but this again is opinion . people still comment to this day and ask to examine it and ask if its by the other guys. YHS Paul Lopes

Either Nick Duvall or LD Hanning. Both make great stuff that is historically accurate and top quality. IMO you can't go wrong with either.
