All one has to do is take a look at this person's prior posts to see that the vast majority of them are for selling gear. Can't fault someone for wanting to make a buck or three, can we?

When's the 3rd edition, "Wearing the Blue," coming out?

True but they are no out of print and sold out with no plans to print any more. Scarcity does tend to drive up the price as the demand exceeds the supply.

Some things go up in value when they are no longer available. From what I've seen $60 is about the going price for one. I have sold many a collectable for many times their original value in the past.

That's a valid point, Robert. Market does indeed dictate a cost differential and when someone has something that someone else wants, its worth exactly what someone is willing to pay for it. I've got one myself that I'm thinking about offering up now since the market seems to be there. Its in like new condition with no missing or torn pages. I'll offer it to trade for an 1816 flintlock or conversion (must be original but dated prior to 1836 - will accept a Harpers Ferry model but would prefer a contract version like Whitney or Wickham). PM me here or email at Ind18th@aol.com if anyone would like to deal.

Yes, it shows on the back it was $39.95 new...need I remind you that's w/o shipping and when they were in print. Shipping rates have gone up, as well as them now being out of print. I'm not trying to cheat anyone, and anyone who knows me knows I am more than a generous person, I am selling it for what it is worth now...not then. JD

If you don't like the price don't buy it. He can ask what he wants for it.

I agree with civilwarguns. If you're not interested in buying the book, move on.
I know Janine personally. She has been an awesome mentor who has done so much to help me enter the hobby. Furthermore, I consider her a good friend who would NEVER cheat anybody.
Janine, I already have a copy of the book or I'd buy it from you.

For reasons for which I have only some of the facts, that project is now dead due to disagreements between the party that was going to make the CD and the party owning the copyright to CRRC II. Please do not ask me to provide more details of the dispute as I have primarily only only side.
