Guys,
I am looking for post indian wars shoulder straps that resemble the smith patent shoulder straps of the civil war. These have brass frames and bars, with the felt back ground. I am looking to use these for my reenacting kit, thats why I am not looking for civil war or indian wars relics, as $400 + is a bit much to have for a field uniform. I heard they made these up to the 1960's. I just want the bars inside the straps for collar ranks, but if I have to buy the whole strap thats fine. I am not looking to spend more than $50. And I have searched the web with no results. Anyhelp would be appreciated, and for those looking to reproduce an item that would sell big time, smith patent straps would be the cats ass!
