Pards,
Does anyone have the instructions on how to fold and pack the Greatcoat?

So according to this information, the folded coat is placed between the halves of the knapsack, where we often put the shelter tent/gum blanket, and not tied on top or placed in the flapped compartment, correct?

http://www.142dpvi.org/kit_articles/rolling_overcoat.htm a link to a good article on rolling the greatcoat for the top of the knapsack, as per other period images out there. There is and always will be a big debate as to what the practice was, but with the link from an earlier post above along with this one, you'll be armed for both. For the record, and without any particular period reference or regulation, I've found it easier on campaign to have my greatcoat rolled on top, with my blanket folded between the flap so that it can be removed quicker without having to undo all of the knapsack straps to get to it.
