Some comments made by past buyers.

I ordered some soon after my last post and used them this weekend and they are top notch! I rolled the whole batch of 100 and only had 2 rip from being twisted to tight. And you cant beat the price. Id much rather have 300 or 400 (depending on wich type you buy) of Andy's than 250 of the "Paper Lady's." I'll be ordering more for my next event.

Yes they work really well in a sharps even after fouling.

William L. Shifflett

I just filled some of Andy's tubes. They work great. Buying tubes sure cuts down on the loading time.

Will they fit in the Sharps Cartridge box blocks and in the sharps breech?

Bryan,
Yes they will fit the breech. And since the Sharps has the smaller diameter they still fit fine after fouling. My block was lost a long time ago so I cant say for sure if they'll fit there but Im guessing they will.

The caliber of the tube is 0.50 cal. Hope that helps.

yes... thanks to both of you. If it fits in the breech then it must fit the blocks. The Sharps is a .54 cal so .50 will defiently fit. I'll defiently order some, but right now I have a whole buncha paper lady's i just ordered. Gimme 2 or 3 events and I'll order some. Again, thanks

I am sorry if this creates a problem for my customers. I have received some money orders through Walmart, with all of these I have had a hard time. So if at all possible please no longer send me money orders bought from Walmart. USPS, and some gas stations provide great money order systems.

The winter campaign season has begun. I have 100 bags of 0.58 cal. in the $3.00 variety and the $4.00 variety rolled and ready to ship. Also some units and sutlers have contacted me about big orders. If the order is or over 15 bags of any variety, I will split the shipping with you in half. If the order is or over 30 bags shipping will be free.

To all my future and past customers thank you for your business, you have allowed me to improve my impression by leaps and bounds.

Andy, I'm not clear on this, are the .58 caliber tubes a true .58 inch diameter? I want to make live rounds with a Miniť ball in the end. Thanks,

I'm not personally familiar with any one else's paper cartridge tubes, but I've heard good reports of Andy's cartridge tubes. It is, however interesting to me that when folks here are looking for them, they often ask for "paper ladies", or refer to pre-rolled cartridge tubes as "paper ladies". I thought a bit of clarification might be in order.

Mary Whisante, "The Paper Lady" sutler from Alexandria, Alabama, makes paper cartridge tubes. Her sutlery has been called "The Paper Lady" since the early 1980's, when she began making cartridge tubes. They come 250 to the box, and are available from a number of sutlers at events, or at her sutlery when she is at an event. She mostly deals in ladies goods, but also carries her tubes.

"Paper Ladies" as a term for cartridge tubes should, I think, apply only to hers, but it seems to have become a generic term. I just thought she ought to get credit, since it's what she started out doing so long ago.

Because she's a lifelong friend, hers are the only ones I buy.

Reminds me how when I was growing up in Kentucky, when you wanted a soda you asked for a "Coke" - that is of course you specifically wanted a "RC". Coke was first to market sodas in the South so, consequently, Southerners all associated sodas with "Cokes". Samething with "FedEx" for overnight shipping and "Xeroxing" for making a copy of a document.

If you dont mind me sayin, I make all my own cartridges. I use brown painters paper, easily obtainable at Home Depot or Lowes or your local outdoor store. I find that way, I know how they're made, and I can appreciate my rounds a little more. There are plenty websites out there than will give you directions and its way cheaper to make your own rather than buy them. Just my .02
